May as well add the OV into the big time flood threat. Looks like a big rain maker for here as well. Think im about to declare winter over here in these parts. Really never had one IMO. Yea had plenty of cold but No big snowstorms to speak of. Kinda sucks but oh well.

Either way i wouldnt be too sure as i said yesterday with going gung ho with that cad set up. I for one again dont like the set up im seeing which it resembles alot of what we just seen.

King, i pretty much agree with you about the upcoming late week system, but by NO MEANS is winter over for ANYONE east of the mississippi.

SF - nice discussion. But if the 18z ETA has any clue at all, this storm will be known as more of a rainmaker than anything else for everyone east of the Apps - even up into Maine.

Dare I say it, I heard that there could be another presidents day blizzard the 14-17. This storms looks for me lots of ice or lots of rain, hope for none, just want SNOW.

I'm kind of hoping for rain...so it can get all of this nasty, hard snow away, so when the next snowstorm comes it'll be nice and fresh, if you know what I mean...like not on top of hard snow.

Yes, Who told him that? IMO, March, will be the time, for a Nor'Easter........... Based on past storms....... Incredible, 1888 and 1993........ and others as well, March 1962........ Based on Climo....

Central US trough but an overall odd pattern ... yesterday's wedge was of a dry one, and the little coastal that developed on Sunday wasn't strong enough to get into the wedge ... hence, the heaviest precip stayed in GA ... although, my daily summary for yesterday is a wild one ... (Sleet/Rain mixed early in the AM, then thunderstorms and much warmer temperatures late night ... )

Well, this setup has yet another 50/50 low, but it does appear transient (doesn't lock in) ... and allows the high to retreat ... BUT with that said, this HIGH is much stronger than the last one, and SHOULD that become a major factor, completely changes the outcome East of the Appalachains ... On the 12z cycle of precip types, I used the ETA which shos the better CAD signature, and PLUS, it's a crutch to give me an idea of where and how to adjust where I think the ZR/R line goes ...
