This is like taking all of Michael Jackson's music off the shelves just because he had his incident(s) earlier. They will (hopefully) be fined and what else... but if they are up for an award, and they win, they should be there to recieve.

My answer is "I don't care". I don't think they should televise these Hollywood-type award shows (Oscars, Grammy's, Emmy's, etc.). I have no interest in watching a multi-millionaire walk up to a podium, all teary eyed, and thank every person they know - for being popular.

If he is guilty of molesting children then the public will do this for him. No doubt about that.

Punish all.

This "wardrobe failiure" IMO was a planned stunt and all involved should be punished. This includes CBS..as they either knew or should have known this was going to happen. Perhaps some severe sanctions would encourage broadcasters to be me careful in the future about preventing "accidents".

Rainband wrote::roll:  I understand that this was inappropriate but come on. We would have to ban a lot of people from TV and performances just to put a tiny dent in stopping kids from seeing this. Watch some primetime shows, they also have nudity,NYPD did or still does. My point is what they did wasn't HALF as bad as some stuff I have seen on tv or the shows or movies that are shown on regular TV. There is a lot more things I would like to see not shown on tv but this is america and we can't censor everything

I understand where you're coming from Johnathan, but I think that if we allow this to go with no more than a slap on the wrist, then why even have "Primetime" or ratings on movies for that matter.

You're right, there's alot of things done and shown on different shows that leave little to the imagination anymore. However, I don't think that frontal nudity of any kind has been shown during a primetime show. That's where I draw the line when it comes to shows that kids may be watching.

Isn't Ms. Jackson a bit long in the tooth (old) to be showing herself? After a while, the body begins to sag! Oh, brother, how desperate some poor women go to get attention!

Old???

She's only 37! Look at women over 40 like Heather Locklear and Jamie Lee Curtis. Dare I mention Tina Turner?

And remember, those Hollywood-types can afford to delay the sagging process a lot longer than the rest of us.

I am still trying to figure out why in the world was Janet Jackson on the half time show anyway duh not like she's the most popular singer around. The only performance that was worth anything was Kid Rock. I voted yes, ban em.

Last week on ER, they showed an elderly woman's bare breasts while she was being worked on. And CSI did a full frontal nudity scene in one of their shows.

Are they considered "Primetime" or am I getting the definition of "Primetime" confused? :-? I thought that "Primetime" was the time that had shows that could be watched by kids.

8-10 is primetime right? anything after ten can have some nudity like the "behinds" on nypd blue that they ALWAYS had to stick in there etc.

That's what I thought too JQ. I know that ER is on after ten and I think CSI is as well, but I could be wrong.

Can't quite decide but I certainly don't want JJ and JT to upstage a special tribute to the Beatles during the Grammy's! You see, almost to the day, the Beatles-craze began on Ed Sullivan's show, Feb. 9th, 1964. Rock and Roll was never the same again after that date. If JJ and JT are on stage or any part of it, the whole program is tainted. On second thought, ban them.

I voted not sure.

It was totally innappropriate, especially for the most watched Sports event in the world(at this time of year)!!!

However I agree with Johnathan that we see a lot of the same or real close to it a lot of the time and in prime time too and nothing is done about it. That doesn't mean I agree with it being allowed, but if we punish them then we must do it across the board and possibly bring back something I am against-densorship. Again, don't gt me wrong propriety should be used in all shows based on societal norms, but outright censorship is wrong.

The Super bowl is supposed to be family entertainment and I am sure lots of familes across America were watching it with their kids. With that said, what Janet and Justin did was friggin' moronic at best. Totally uncalled for and I hope they pay the price. I'm sure alot of parents did not want their kids to see crap like this. Heck, I'm talking about the entire Superbowl halftime show. It sucked rocks and was full of vulgarity.
Sure, there are a bunch of programs on T.V. that I will not let my kids watch but there is a big difference. I'm able to censor these shows and I know what they are about beforehand unlike the half time super bowl freak show. So much for family entertainment.
