Hey, my hubby found a cruise that actually takes you from New Orleans to Chicago...takes 2 weeks tho...now wouldn't THAT be a way to visit his kids!

Jacki, I bet a cruise to the tropics would be welcoming to you right now! Are you a snow lady yet? My girlfriend in Watertown NY has over 6 FEET of snow, not counting the drifting...and she just returned from a week in Cancun to this!

We're leaving for Fl. tomorrow. Everyone here have a great week! See ya soon!

Just so you know...Kathy and I survived our week with Emma, two flights via SW Airlines with her, and all kinds of "busy time" that you would expect from an 18-month old.

I am feeling better this week, too, so thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Now, how about that Storm2k cruise???

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Steve - I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. I'm sure you had a wonderful time with your precious little Emma!

Congratulations Ticka on being an aunt again!

It's alittle warmer and less windy than it has been in recent weeks. We're actually getting rain which will help to wash the ice off of my driveway. It's been alot of fun getting the paper and going to my car every morning!

Nothing in particular is going on here in South Jersey - that's probably a good thing!

I hope everyone is well and have a great day!

So glad you're feeling better, Steve!!!!

Maybe we can plan our get together doing a storm chase in Oklahoma?!! Actually, from what I hear, those tours are not cheap.

Something more affordable may be a weekend getaway somewhere where the S2K population is high - like Houston or FL west coast. Might have a decent turnout! :D Mary, you and I can carpool!
Whatcha guys think???

Ticka - Happy Aunt's Day and Hubby's Birthday!! :D

Have a great day everyone!!!

Hi all,

Just got back from some job hunting. Picked up two applications and turned one in. My arms are too tired to fill the other one out (lugging my binder around with my resume in it  ). Also found out that one of the places where I applied last week is looking better (but not 100% certain yet). :) Will keep you updated...

And as for the apartment, it is almost a sure bet that I'll be getting it now. :) :D Just made a phone call and it's virtually certain. :D No date set for the move yet but they are trying to set everything up. However, I'll have limited net access until I get my cable Internet moved to the new place. :( I'll try to check in though. ;)

Hey everyone. Just thought I would take a minute and relax by the Pot Belly Stove. It has been a LONG time since I stopped by here. I can't believe that I don't have much time to come by here. I miss ya'll.

Hey Garrett, we miss ya! :(

How's everyone doing? I'm pretty good. Just got up (again) about 10 minutes ago.

I had a job interview this morning at 10. I was 45 minutes late  because my alarm either didn't go off or it did and I didn't hear it until it was about 10:20 (I was supposed to be there at 10). :( I went anyway and did the interview. It looks ok, but I'm not 100% sure. I should hear within the next 2-3 days if I get the position or not, he said. :)

Nice weather here today, it was a cool night but a very mild day. Temps were in the low-mid 70s under sunny skies. :)

Well, we're back from our quick trip to Florida. It's good to go home and see everyone, but it's also nice to get back to OUR town of Shreveport in our own home and bed! We hit that NASTY storm out side of Hattiesburg...saw some pretty heavy flooding also. I was a nervous wreck, watching the funky low clouds forming into threatening shapes, but we got through it with no problems.

The house was in the 30's when we got home at 5am this morning. We turned the heat off before we left, since the pets were not going to be here while we were away. MAN was it cold and did it ever take forever to heat up! Brrrrrr. It's all good now though.

Take care everyone!

I am here in my Computer Software for Education class. Obviously, I am off-topic. ;) Just wanted to stop in and set out some white chocolate/macadamia nut cookies. Yummy! :multi:

Ya-Ya's!!! We'd pass by it every day when we were staying in Ponce Inlet, but never made it there, sorry to say. The kids often joked about it though, because they call my mom "Ya-Ya" (Grandma in Greek). They thought my mom should just go in and take over. lol What a great time hearing your friend sing there!
Bummer about Pat's. But it'll still be there next time, serving up those great nautical breakfasts. :D
