But I'm getting up there in years, I'm not currently in a relationship, and, due to the violence that I dealt with in my childhood, I don't think I should be a parent. Don't get me wrong. I don't get violent myself and I doubt that I would be abusive. I tend to be quite a pacifist in my "angry" mood, except for an occasional doorslamming, which my boss can attest to. On the other hand, I'm not closed to the idea of being with someone who already has children.
