It's good to hear you made it home safely. I don't know if you saw the webcam from KETV. Around 11ish a 18-wheeler jack-knifed on I-80 near 88th St.

:O Was that actually on the skycam?

I'm getting scared...don't want this storm to end till LATE LATE tonight/tomorrow...I see dry air just south west of lancaster county...kind of pushing it's way in...is the storm going to just 'pindlewheel' around us?

Glad everyone is safe-the roads in Lawrence and KC are just a desaster!! You will prob. get more snow than us, but this has been a great suprise here-we had 200 yard visibilities for quite some time this morning-We have around 6 inches if not 7-best storm for this area since Dec. 2000-man is it awesome!! Also, with your snow pack and ours, it will be tough to warm up any time soon!!!

yup... right on the webcam. As for the storm... some are saying it may not add to much more than 4-5" here in the Omaha area. We'll see.

This is what I've heard...

Another hour of snow, then maybe some light wrap-around snow after midnight as upper low moves east of area. We could even see a bit of sun this afternoon as small dry-slot behind this precip band moves in. NWS forecast of 7+" may have a shot in far northeast NE, but not locally where 4-5" will be the rule. Strong NNW winds will set in by morning with much drifting through the day tomorrow.

We'll see....

Maybe another inch or so, with some lingering morning flurries Friday.

Yes, I will give you that. Normally I'm not the person to jump on a forecast several days out. Actually, that's rarely. But from what I've been watching, the models are picking up more and more on the system for the middle of next week. At this time I will be conservative and say it won't happen, but I have a little feeling that sometime next week we'll see yet another snowfall. This Omaha snowdepth record should be shattered before too long. Hopefully I'm wrong. We're already 29.1" above normal -- according to the Gretna weather site.
