1evans, you need to learn that not everybody is going to say a huge snowstorm for you, and you need to understand that. It's obvious that we'll get another snowstorm, might not be as big as you're hoping, but it's not like we're not going to get any more snow.

JEEZ dude...calm down!

of coarse I know that, and when it's a cold day and it could snow and it just rains, I get Pissed. That's all, just waiting for the next one and just hoping that it's the big one. I don't mean to offend anybody.

YES, I know, I wish though. I just like to argue, I HATE being told that something good, like a snow storm is not going to happen.

not every winter is like those two, but given the long-term changes in the PDO and ATC, we have entered a period where major east coast snow events do occur more frequently.

this connection is quite clear.

I'm not a climatologist - care to elaborate on what the PDO and ATC are and why they would lead more major east coast storms? And is this relationship a causal one grounded in known science or is it a probabilistic one, which just hasn't been explained yet? Thanks.

I agree, the chances of now having any more snow in at least the next 42 days, astronimically speaking and at least the next 23 days meteorological speaking is high.

I was intial taking "When do the big cities and coast get the ALL SNOW storm?"... as either taking guesses when it may occur or to have a fun discussion on when we thing the big cities and coast will get all snow from one storm. The frigid air masses of a few weeks ago supported all snow events in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic from Canada supported the all snow events a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, it isn't always easy to figure out someone is joking online. The emoticons often times are very useful in this regard. :)

I could certainly relate to this when I lived in eastern Massachusetts. Now the same thing happens with thunderstorm chances during the dry season (mid October to May) here in central Florida.

At least the afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the summer and early fall are more likely just about every day. :D
