Yeah, the NWS (my "friends" in forecasting) has this sentence:

.TONIGHT...OCCASIONAL SNOW. ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATION 2 TO 4
INCHES. LOWS AROUND 10. NORTH WINDS 5 TO 15 MPH SHIFTING TO THE
NORTHWEST 15 TO 20 MPH AFTER MIDNIGHT. CHANCE OF SNOW 90 PERCENT.

.FRIDAY...SNOW LIKELY IN THE MORNING...WITH ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION
OF UP TO 1 INCH POSSIBLE...AND STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 7 TO
11 INCHES. DECREASING CLOUDS WITH A FEW FLURRIES BY LATE AFTERNOON.
HIGHS AROUND 14. NORTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH. CHANCE OF SNOW 70
PERCENT.

That is a short-term forecast from NWS Omaha! Ending by 3pm, then just flurries. I think the additional accumulation for the "Tonight" period is the storm total. I would not be surprised to see another half inch to an isolated inch report, but this one is pretty much done by the evening rush hour!

They'll get it all cleaned up for tomorrow. :D Remember, we live OUTSIDE of city limits, and the county does a bang-up job usually because of the smaller road mileage! Go study them books

If all you fine Omahan citizens are exhausted of digging snow, then give yourselves a well-deserved break---------Just call JEB!!!!

I will shovel all of the snow from your porches, sidewalks, driveways, from all around all your cars and trucks, and I will also be glad to dig out your street as well.

There is nothing quite like a job well done, and no flake ever goes unshoveled. :)

I'm not too sure about that much. The radar has looked very bad, but not a whole lot was falling. As one local met put it... 5" of snow... 10" of virga. The lower levels of the atmosphere are just too dry. But, we may still get another inch or two.............
