Surprise Snow!!!

We woke up this morning to a surprising 4" of new snow. :eek: That all fell in a period of 2 1/2 hours. A friend of mine called from Verona... that is just east of here... they have 6" and it came in about 2 1/2 hours as well! :o You should have seen it.

It was flat gettin' it! (as we like to say here in SW Missouri) :lol:

Flat gettin' it, eh? Nice ... 8-)

Surprise snows are always pleasant (or unpleasant, dependant on one's perspective ...).

The last snow event here with accum. snows was the 2000 Carolina Crusher and a small impulse the very next night ... (2.0" and 3.0" respectively ... CHS WFO - 1.0" and 2.0" respectively)...

I've woken up to surprise flurries but never to any surprise accumulating snow, usually whatever falls melts within 12 hours around here lol.

We got surprised here too. We got slammed by surprise 50 degrees. Temps are now routinely surpassing progs by 5, even 8 degrees on more and more days.

Tonight we might be surprised by an overnight low warmer than 32.

Surprise, surprise.......

When I saw the maps this morning, I figured KY was in for it also.

"Flat gettin' it" in the snow context means it is really snowing hard!!!!!!!!!
