PRESIDENT BUSH better start acting like a conservative

and fast. he needs to defend himself. he is acting like a punching bag.
he is allowing the dems to convince people tax cuts are bad and the war was bad. this is shaping up to be a disaster for the country. bush needs to drop this"compassionate conservative" tripe and do something. bush needs to realize something fast. the press and the dems are going to hate him no matter what he does, so he better start doing battle, or this election, and the war on terror is done.

p.s-i wish so bad i could have been talking for him sunday. you could see he wanted to say the right thing, but he couldnt get it out. there is no way to put a positive spin on sunday. it was an unmitigated disaster.

i agree, he seemed evasive and defensive. it was as if he agreed with all the criticism, and just couldnt reply. i was mortified how he didnt even try to defend himself.

If some of you think George is "lackluster", consider that he's trying to run the Executive Office, while at the same time doing a little politicking. Tough jobs...the White House always ages its occupants threefold; small wonder he appears tired.

Once the Democrats have "anointed" their candidate (and anything can still happen), Bush will go on the offensive. Why fire "mad minutes" (like Dean and Gore have, to their disgrace) when GW can pick his target, once he HAS one?

FoxNews has HAD expert analyists featured who made that very point, Helen...but I'd wait until it's "showtime" for the GOP to hit back BIG time...hopefully a "preemptive strike" before the Big Four get it (ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN).
