Illegal immigrant's poem

#1 Postby timNms » Mon Feb 09, 2004 4:50 pm

I got this in an email today. Thought I'd pass it on.

I cross ocean,

poor and broke,

Take bus,

see employment folk.

Nice man treat me

good in there,

Say I need to

see welfare.

Welfare say,

"You come no more,

We send cash

right to your door."

Welfare checks,

they make you wealthy,

Medicaid it keep

you healthy!

By and by,

I got plenty money,

Thanks to you,

American dummy.

Write to friends

in motherland,

Tell them 'come

fast as you can.'

They come in turbans

and Ford trucks,

I buy big house

with welfare bucks

They come here,

we live together,

More welfare checks,

it gets better!

Fourteen families,

they moving in,

But neighbor's patience

wearing thin.

Finally, American

moves away,

Now I buy his house,

and then I say,

"Find more aliens

for house to rent."

And in the yard

I put a tent.

Send for family

they just trash,

But they, too,

draw the welfare cash!

Everything is

very good,

And soon we

own the neighborhood.

We have hobby --

it's called breeding,

Welfare pay

for baby feeding.

Kids need dentist?

Wife need pills?

We get free!

We got no bills!

American crazy!

He pay all year,

To keep welfare

running here.

We think America

darn good place!

Too darn good for

the American race.

If they no like us,

they can scram,

Got lots of room in

Pakistan.

That's been edited a bit. It used to say,
"I cross border
Poor and broke"
and
"They come on buses
and Chevy trucks"
and
"If they no like us,
they can go,
Got lots of room
in Mexico."

Be careful to whom you send it. A handful of people (like a treasurer in Colorado) have been accused of racism after sending the Mexican version via email to the wrong people. If you re-read it in the Mexican context, it makes more sense (crossing the border, etc). It was shared with me by someone from Mexico who thought it was funny to some extent, but also offensive.

Only Problem is

#3 Postby Aslkahuna » Mon Feb 09, 2004 7:37 pm

illegal immigration from Mexico down here is far from a joking matter. US Citizens being threatened and assaulted, carjackings, shootouts on the Interstate, the local Sheriff having civilian volunteers in marked cars shadow school buses because illegals have been skulking around the bus stops, the Sheriff publicly warning local residents to be extra cautious in their daily activities because of increasing violence against US citizens. I've had incidents here where illegals have broken into my van and slept in it and where they have tried to enter my home only to be stopped by the dog. I sleep with a large bladed weapon under my bed but the firearm is on the horizon. These are the people that Bush wants to give amnesty and the Democrats want to give a free ride citizenship-BS I say.

I work at a Health Department and that stuff is pretty much on the money. It is very aggravating when people who are here ILLEGALLY have better insurance than I do. They have Medicaid, I have county insurance. I am actually working to see that they receive "all the services they are entitled too." Why are people who are breaking the law "entitled" to anything? Some of them drive up in their SUV, come in and tell us that they and their 5 children are living on $5,000.00 a year and we have to accept that. The children get Medicaid, WIC, and the family gets food stamps. Then I take a vacation day, take my granddaughter to the library, and guess who is there. A bunch of Mexican women and their bunch of children. They don't work so they get to come every day. As you can tell, it makes me mad.

Duck, I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I had never seen it before. It does appear to have a bit of truth in it, tho. (Sad how people like my mom, who along with my dad worked all their lives for her home, 1986 pickup, and 22 acres of land, and now that she's almost 70, on oxygen, and is on hospice care, can't get food stamps because she OWNS too much!)

Exactly Aslkahuna.. Both admit there is a problem, but no one is doing anything about it.. TIGHTEN up the freaking borders.. I know that takes a lot of man power, but it NEEDS to be done.. and there needs to be consequences when the come over ilegaly.. Not rewards!!

We Have Troops

#12 Postby Aslkahuna » Tue Feb 10, 2004 12:30 am

in Germany where they are not needed and in Korea and Japan where they are not wanted but no troops on the border to protect US CITIZENS!
Bring those troops home where they are needed and the money that we spend to keep them where they are at will follow. Interesting letter in the local newspaper tonight which accused our local Congressjerk of selling us all out for personal gain as well as slamming Bush and McCain and another AZ Congressjerk. The writer is not only a life long Republican but the BROTHER of our local Congressjerk.

Tim, I know you weren't. And I, for one, certainly wasn't offended. I've given my 2 cents once or twice in here about illegal immigration because I've seen it myself. I agree with what you've guys have said 100%.

I'm just saying, be careful. Not everyone understands the poem in the same way.
