Not a great deal of snow out of this event. Thankfully the chain of huge snows may be over. :D OUt at my house we got a dusting... blowing snow was the biggest problem.

Latest snowdepths are...
Eppley: 23"
Offutt AFB: 17"

...looks like a chance at flurries on Wednesday. Regardless... it's time to melt! We actually got above freezing yesterday! The first time in 2.5 weeks!!!!

More than likely that blowing snow is mainly from the previous systems, too! I got nothing but freezing drizzle out here in west -central Omaha.

Yeah, that's what I meant on the blowing snow. The little flurries we picked up on the south-side didn't play that big of a factor. I know Offutt was reporting blowing snow during the midday... several hours before the snow. With all that snow we have plus the SW gusts 25-35mph... it blew everything around. :D

The last time we were above freezing was 23 January when Omaha Eppley had a high of 61F (yes, 61!). Then we had a period of time when we were below freezing 24hrs a day with highs in the teens 5 days and highs only in single digits 4 days. On 8 Feb, we had a high of 34F breaking the string of subfreezing temps. It happened again yesterday with another 34.

Low temperatures have been 21F or colder the entire period since 23 January including yesterday morning's low of 14 and this morning's low of 21 (tied with 21 on 5 Feb).

The deep snowcover is the main reason for these statistics.
