2nd Weather Channel Goof

I live in springfield, Va, next to Jeb....

Now i have seen some weird forecasts... but this is ridiculous!!

Other than the fact that much of this forecast may not verify, there is nothing inherently unbelievable about such a forecast.

Rain and 42, no problem.

Snow showers with a high of 44? Also no problem. High could be 44, then a cold front arrives, it turns colder, and you have snow showers. They predict a low of 23 that day.

it could be 42 at midnight and by 3 am be cold enough to snow

I have seen snow showers with temps well above 42

Pay attention to the 850 line for snow not what the temp is outside.

I see... but i am just questioning how it can be 42 degrees and raining and then 44 degrees and snowing... thanks for the info guyS!

yoda, the same as how it can be 17 degrees and raining.

It depends on what the temps are at different levels of the atmosphere - i.e. where the precip forms.

Brevard County Florida last year had snow and it's temps. were around 40 with the light flurries..

They were in the 30's when the flurries began,,
