Barometer Bob

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Sat Feb 14, 2004 4:20 pm

I had the pleasure of meeting him last night in chat. Was very impressed. I also believe he was impressed with us as well. We all had him rolling on the floor. For all who do not stop by chat, you have no idea what you are missing. I hope he comes back soon. :D

BarometerBob and I are fast friends and talk on the phone on a regualr basis. I am surprised he stopped into our chat, because he has his own, but am glad he did stop by. Several of us have known BB for several years and I in fact credit him with teaching me a LOT of the weather knowledge I have(and I have so much further to go!!!).

Sure is nice Barometer Bob visited the chat room last night, I was there until later. I have been to his chatroom a few times this past summer.

No offense, I hope, but I find it odd (for lack of a better word) that some members correspond with each other on the phone. Being someone who never uses the phone [have a few times nearly a year ago], what is there to talk about? If you don't mind me asking.

Wow David, then I was lucky. He answered alot of our questions and explained his answers to us too. He has a great sense of humor considering his medical conditions!! He is a winner IMO. When you speak with him please let him know how much we appreciated his stop by the chat and to come again!! :)

Tom, as crazy as this may sound, alot of us have found good friends over the net. Especially at S2K.

Tom, I talk to 2 people on this board almost every day or every other day at the very least. I've become very close with some folks and sometimes you want to talk about non-weather related stuff or you just get tired of typing up PM's!

I have made a lot of good friends (I hope) here at Storm2K, too. I wouldn't come here, otherwise.

I am not comfortable talking on the phone when my parents are home, which is very often. I am not sure if I could actually have a conversation with someone.
I sure would be easier than face to face interaction and a step above IMing, (e-mailing) and having dicussions here.

I suppose I could talk on the phone with those from this board... but not sure what my parents would think talking to people I have met online, nevermind having
things to say with any of you. No offense, it is a reality.

LOL, he meant "won't bite"! ;)

Tom, it's kind of like being in the chat room,
except, you suddenly realize that there is only
you and the other person, chatting. If your head
is full of thoughts and ideas, then, you'll have no trouble
sharing them!
