Oscar (nominations and winners) bloopers

#1 Postby sunnyday » Fri Feb 13, 2004 10:42 pm

I was reading an article the other day about people and movies that should never have been nominated for an Oscar, much less one. Does anyone have his/her own opinion of a movie or actor/actess who didn't deserve the nod? The man who wrote the article beat me to my best one--Halle Berry for Monster's Ball. Now, that was a travesty.

Location: Galveston, oh Galveston (And yeah, it's a barrier island. Wanna make something of it?)

Angeline Jolie - Girl, Interrupted.

The girl's acting class must have been interrupted because IMO she can't act her way out of a bucket. And Girl, Interrupted was a sorry excuse for a movie anyway. It played out like a regurgitated teen-girl-in-distress movie. If I wanted to see that, I would have stayed home and watched Lifetime.

Galveston, actually the writer of the article mentioned her as being particularly terrible in that movie.
