My Forecast for Tue-Wed storm

Im not big on maps so I will make this simple

3-5 inches along and north of a Greensboro/Danville/Fluvanna/Ocean City Line

3 inches and less along and north of a Roanoke/Charlottesville/Fluvanna/Baltimore/Dover Line

SIGNIFICANT amounts 6-10+ on and north of a Raleigh/Roanoke Rapids/Emporia/Hampton/Salisbury line

Thats my take, by no means a forecast....look good to anyone?

I'm three miles north of Hampton therefore, Jackpot!

There's really no telling what's going to happend. None of the models are in agreement. I'm going with the GFS on this, it's been fairly consistant for the past 3 days.

*UPDATE* from the NWS for my area...I'm taking it with a grain of salt though...

Tuesday:

Cloudy. Chance of snow or light sleet then snow becoming likely in the afternoon. Some snow accumulation possible. Highs in the upper 30s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

Tuesday Night:

Cloudy. Snow likely. Some snow accumulation possible. Lows in the upper 20s. North winds 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

Wednesday:

Mostly cloudy. Chance of snow in the morning. Highs in the lower 40s. North winds 5 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40 percent.

Eric, why are you taking this with a grain of salt? The National Weather Service for your area must see reason for frozen precipitation (being as high as 70 percent).

Your area roads may in fact need salt.

I like when the NWS puts "snow likely" for about a 24 hour period but little to no accumulations.

Forecast for Yorkcounty, VA

Tuesday
Cloudy with a chance of snow in the morning. Rain and snow likely in the afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation. Highs in the mid 30s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent

Tuesday Night
Cloudy and blustery. Snow likely. Rain likely in the evening. Snow accumulation around an inch. Lows around 30. North winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

Wednesday
Mostly cloudy and windy. A chance of rain and snow. Highs in the upper 30s. North winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent

Tom, with my part-time job and I don't enjoy being snowbound...my neighborhood streets are a mess...and I hate shoveling...(unlike Jeb)...well all that said...that's why. :-?

3-5" would be nice on top of 6.5" sun ngt...18z gfs...Looking gud

here we are at the east ebd of atightly wound storm funnelijegly north and east.here in aleandris=as west ehd we will see light snow dropping down most if the night,drooping till dawn,i inch hsven fsllrn
