Joe B says a shift 50 miles in and the big cities could have up to 6 inches.coastal areas including Nantucket, eastern long island, Jersey and Delaware could see 1-2 FEET. A shift east and everyone gets a lot less.

For now he is going with a band of 6-12 right along the coast and 3 inches in big cities.

Well, anything is possible - as we were shown on Jan 25, 2000. But something like that is very rare, so I do not expect a westward shift that would give DC, BWI and PHL 6 inches of snow.

any Einstein knows a shift of 50 miles means a shaft somewhere. NYC will get 1-2".

Looking at the radar, it looks like the precip is trying to make its way inland...and im not hallucinating yet

4" for you is a really long shot......It can happen, but odds are it won't unless you live near the immediate coast.
Best chance for your area is 1 MAYBE 2 inches

I far north? I thought you were more inland. I'm just saying this storm really won't intensify and explode until it hits Cape Cod.

4 seem to be a good bet, my local mets are harping on more than 6 on the immediate coast line.
