#1 Postby Guest » Tue Feb 17, 2004 9:33 am

Use this thread if you are serious about attending a Storm2k Picnic and what is the fartherest you would be willing to travel to attend.

PM me if you have any other comments or suggestions.

As long as I'm not in class, I'll go. I'll go anywhere in the lower 48.

Oh, and there can't be a TWISTER outbreak at that time either, or I'll be too preoccupied with radars!

The idea about a major S2K get-together developed on the thread about meeting people from online:

Meet at the St; Louis Arch would be cool. Centrally located, public place. Lots to do for families. Etc. I would definately attempt to get there.

I would travel to anywhere on the east coast, southeast, midwest and even the central U.S. (including TX).

If given enough of a headstart to save for the trip, I'm willing to fly if it's on a weekend (which would make the most sense). Since I'm so far down on the coast, I'd drive anywhere within a 10-hour drive (which would cover most of TX, especially central and eastern TX, AR, LA, or MS).

I think Galveston or the Houston area would be good, because so many of you are there, and its not a bad for drive for so many others.

I'll wait and see where and when you all decide it will take place and then see if I can make it. I would love to meet all of you. :)
On second thought, can we have a "winter picnic", somewhere where it snows????

The Gateway Arch sounds good for me...that's about 230 miles NNW away, and is the absolute limit I can travel. I'll see about bringing coppertop and Annabelle (she be a ho') for the admiring gaze of all here...LOL

Now, getting to meet the famous Anabelle would be worth the trip for sure! She sure has been a stable one around these parts, as well as parts before here!

ME TOO!!!!!

I think a central location such as ST. Loius would be great.

However, I sure wouldn't want to rule out my home area either!!! We do have some of the easiest air access in the country!! I would be willing to put up a few people if it comes to pass down here.

For me the fartherest I could go north is Missouri, Oklahoma or Tennessee - I would go to Florida or Georgia....

Georgia sounds good. Although I believe Missouri is probably closer for most. Plus Bill would not have to travel so far!!
