Yeah, Channel 11 I think said 2"-4" later today, but who knows. I just come here to get the real scoop from the guys that seem to have more knowledge or at least an educated guess.

the people on this board seem to know more than our local forecasters.. I will be curious when it's over tomorrow to see just how much we do get to compare it to what the locals are saying.

I hope not!

I'm waiting to see what the low off the coast will go. Hopefully, we will see four more inches of snow before this is over.

So you are saying that is the low? Seems like the upper level winds are keeping the moisture from making it to the Triangle area. I knew that was a bad thing last night when I saw the Southern Jet racing this way.

You can clearly see the low spinning off of MH City, I am not sure why it isn't throwing moisture back over interior NC though.....

Well we are getting moderate sleet right now...they say it won't change back over if at all to snow until later on in the afternoon evening?! Doesn't it look like this storm is a little faster than progged? Seems like everything happened about 6hrs early or smthg.

You really think so? All i feel is that no one has a grip on what this system is going to do.

I agree......When I watched the weather....

#19 Postby NCGal » Tue Feb 17, 2004 2:13 pm

this morning.... they said that it would start here as freezing rain and sleet.. Well it didn't, it started as a heavy snow. The snow we did get seems to be about gone. I will be curious to see if it makes it's way back here to Johnston County NC. The sky sure looks like snow so hopefully it will, I sure Pray for snow and not ice, the weather channel is saying ICY for us, but no one else has said anything about ICE. What are your thoughts?
