#1 Postby Anonymous » Tue Feb 17, 2004 1:16 pm

Again a major storm will miss the I-95 area from Richmond to BWI. This time too far to the East, coastal may pick up 3-5 inches.

Richmond maybe 1-3

Fredericksburg maybe 1-2

DC maybe flurries

BWI partly cloudy

I guees if you were expecting alot, it is a miss. I am not really to pissed about this event. It has always looked to far east. I stil think I may get an inch or so. No big deal though.

AH.... but wait for the 18z and MAYBE The 0z Runs.....

Remember.... even thought this won't happen (like a .000000001% chance) but IT MAY COME BACK AND SURPRISE LIKE IT DID in JAN 25 2000!

But yeah, otherwise, expecting 1-2 here in Springfield, VA in Fairfax County (SE part)...

P.S. I have seen on some sites that it is currently snowing in Middlesex County NJ, ands also IP/FZ in INTERIOR NC west of Raleigh.....

Yep...I'd say that if the 0z run continues to indicate eastward trend, then yeah, BWI to RIC busts...but one 150-175 mi. jog west, and they're in the thick of it!

Hmmm... I think only a 50-100 mile jog westward would give us here in D.C. some good snows like 3-6.... but waiting still.... looking forward to 18z run of ETA in about 75 mins!

Clouds are thickening up and moving in from the southeast. Radar shows edge of snow just to our southeast. Talk about Close!!

Well my fellow weather fans...the window of opportunity is rapidly closing on a major snowfall for the above cities...the best shot should be in the Feb25th - Mar 7th time frame.

I am just hoping for one last event in during the end of Feb or start on March. The odds did not favor a big snow year after last year. The DC-NYC area avg 15-30 inches of slop a year. So this may be an avg to below year....except the NYC area.

Assuming this storm happens, I would not be so sure that it will be rain.
