I am just south of the RBC by Crossroads in Cary and have light sleet. Just took a look at latest discussion from RAH and they kept warnings and advisories in place. I sense they are still unsure of the whole scenario.

There's some light moisture streaming up from SC right now. Hopefully, it will get heavier later this afternoon and evening. Temps are remaining below freezing (30 F).

Changed back over to light snow in southeast Cary. Lets hope this precip gets heavier and fills in soon.

You mean 2-4 inches of snow? What exactly did Feldman say because I missed it.

Well from the NWS statement, they still think it is going to get heavy again so I would trust them more than the local forcasters.

If you look, that upper-level low is just now crossing the FL. panhandle. I know that is supposed to spawn the surface low but is it too late?

Well unless this low somehow gets going in a major way in the next couple of hours it is over for NC that is for sure.

In N VA the precip cutoff line is defined in part by the Potomac River just 5 miles to my east. We have very low dark skies here in Dale City/Woodbridge VA but no precip. Looks like the river just east of me is where the edge of the snow is setting up. WOW---A visual miss--I can literally see the river from parts of Woodbridge.
