With the current radar trends, it'll end by midnight.

I posted the NWS forecast for my area, is all... you'll have to ask them what their criteria is.

this isn't a storm for you, it's mine. I was excited from day 1. The coast with the most.

****UPDATE****
Bill Evans from channel 7 ABC just said 3-6 widespread into NJ cutting off before Trenton. He said 6-8 on the shores of Long Island and NJ. May be some very surprising snow totals along the coast he says.

Okay, finally the NWS woke up and made a revision:

Updated: 5:05 PM EST on February 17, 2004

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through midnight...

Tonight:

Light freezing rain changing to light snow late. Up to an inch of snow accumulation. Lows in the upper 20s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.

Winter Weather Statement

Statement as of 4:36 PM EST on February 17, 2004

... Winter Weather Advisory tonight..

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for tonight throughout the area.. from Southern Pines and Sanford... northeast through all the northeast Piedmont and northern coastal plain. This includes all the Triangle area... Roxboro... Henderson... Roanoke Rapids... Nashville... and Louisburg.

Light freezing rain and sleet mixed are expected to change to light snow later this evening. This mixture of precipitation will gradually end around midnight. Little additional snowfall is expected... however... light glazing on exposed surfaces will create hazardous road conditions shortly after sunset.

Patchy ice is expected to develop on bridges and overpasses first... then secondary or rural roads. The temperatures are expected to remain in the upper 20s to around 30 through the evening hours.

Motorists are urged to use extreme care... especially after dark as the immediate surface temperatures drop to allow ice formation to occur at ground level.
