Looks like Herman Munster if you ask me. I'll wait a few seconds for Duck to post that picture. :)

You mean your employer can't afford anything better than beads for a 5-year service anniversary?

bad taste

#27 Postby sunnyday » Thu Feb 19, 2004 4:53 pm

Extremely bad taste!!! I would hate to see that on anyone's face. Some people go way too far. This kind of mess is one reason I don't give Drudge one bit of credibility.

LOL! Well, you should have seen the big party and multi-media presentation before the beads... ...complete with marching band and dancing (and yes, I'm serious!). :)

Not to mention breakfast this morning and cake this afternoon. Heck, I was at UK for 10 years and I don't remember anything like that. (Although I would never trade those great years, working with the best damn team in the world -- the UK ER staff. The job itself was extremely rewarding.)

The ones who have been here for 20 years or more get more stuff. :) There was one lady who has been here for 40 years. :o

Sunny, Drudge didn't do this. Reuters did. Do you give them any credibility? I understand your consternation about hyping the news, but give the credit where it is due, even if it is bad credit.

Honestly, I'm not sure what's on the pin. But if she already got one for 20, 25, 30, and 35 years, I would hope they gave her something incredibly special.

Sorry about that. My fault. I don't like that Drudge report, tho, of course.
