Here is the AP wire information about it.The question is if he is going to rest votes to the democrats as an independant as he did as a green party candidate at 2000.

I have heard rumors that Roy Moore may also run as an independent candidate for President. Has anyone heard this??

I mentioned that in another thread as well. I've heard the rumors too. I hope they come true!

If Nader runs this could be bad news all over again. Nader ran in 2000 and his running screwed up the election.

If Nader would not have ran, Gore and Bush would not have had to recount {possibly} because Gore and Bush would have had a lot more votes.

Forgive me if my opinion is way off base.. Try to be gentle when you slambast me lol

Nader only affected Gore's votes.

i dont see nader as a factor this year at all. kerry or edwards is as far left as he is, so i dont think nader will do very well. also, in 2000, while nader took votes from gore, the libertarian party took more votes from bush, which is often overlooked. this year alot of conservatives are thinking more about the libertarian party.

yeah... it is an interesting party. And Helen I agree about 2000. What they do in 2004 remains to be seen.

We need a viable third party canidate to run against the usual liars. Is Nader it? Maybe, maybe not. Sorry Nader did not screw up the 2000 election, Gore and his people did. I have been voting for 20 years and have never had my Presidential canidate elected to office.

OK, Beer, who ya voting for this time?

I would think that Nader would definitely siphon off votes from whoever the Dem candidate is. He would get votes from the 50-something, anti-nuke, whale saving, tree hugging, Nixon hating, granola eating, NPR listening, Lexus Liberals.

Thank God the "Greens" won't ever take hold as a viable party here!

Look at what they've done in Europe, and ask yourself if you want that sort of nonsense in American politics... :grrr:

I won't know who I am going to support until the Libertarian Party picks their canidate this spring. They seem to be the most viable third party. " Currently, over 300 Libertarians hold elective office, more than twice as many as all other third parties combined."
