AH WELL, just as well anyways, didn't feel like shoveling all that white **** :lol:

"COME ON SPRING!" No rain, no snow, not even a CLOUD...talk about a "BUST-O-RAMA!" :roll:

"BUST-O-RAMA" The Low hasn't even formed yet? Nobody busted on anything yet wait until a actual forecast comes out 24 hour before the storm then if it bust 24 hours from that forecast you can call it a BUST-O-RAMA. Right now nobody knows what will happen anything is possible and the threat of a MECS lurks until Wed.

He is talking about where he lives in Arizona not the east coast.

according to TUS and myself last night, today was not supposed to be much of anything anyway. Our only bust was that we went for too much cloud. The two of us weren't expecting the main show to begin until Sunday night with Monday the main event and we have been on the same scenario for this system for the past two days. Only difference between TUS and I have been in QPF but that's to be expected as we are normally drier down here during the winter anyway. TUS has issued a WSW for the elevations above 6k for heavy snow and although you aren't in their CWA it gets close enough to you. The models are quite consistent in painting a decent event for mainly Monday so we haven't busted yet.

the one I saw when I was riding the bus over Donner from Reno to Sacramento. The snow was falling at the rate of up to 6 inches per hour and the winds were gusting to 100mph. About 2 feet fell during the transit of the Pass which took about 3-4 hours instead of the normal 1-2. The highway over the Pass was closed right after the bus I was on got through. The second would be the time I drove over Donner in snowfall up to 4 inches per hour and winds gusting to 80mph. Traffic was being convoyed over the Pass and we were in the last convoy to make it through before the Highway was closed. During the same trip I ran into a major,major ice storm in the Reno area.

for those who like shovelling snow, Donner gets over 300 inches of the stuff on average per year and the record annual fall is 786 inches. Most snow in 24 hours at Donner is 67 inches while in one storm in January 1982 they got 66 inches in 24 hours. The mountains of Arizona have been known to come in with some heavy snows as well. Though in recent years we have been sorely lacking. Right now, the system that's due in late tonight through tomorrow seems to be on track though I'll know more after I do my data check later today.

Why is everyone so sure that the storm is missing us based on what the models say?? Cant the models change back to us getting big snows?? :roll:

for the system coming into AZ mainly tomorrow. It's coming in a bit slower but that's good as it allows the system to pick up moisture. The Yuma radar is quite impressive showing a big area of showers and thunderstorms down into the Sea of Cortez to the radar limit. We may delay onset from tonight to tomorrow but tomorrow looks to be active particularly to the north and west of Cochise County.

Well......once again, "ALL HYPE, no action!" It's snowin ALL around us, POURING in Phoenix, snowing like a SOB in Flagstaff and all I have is SUNNY skies......AH WELL, my backs killing me today, I REALLY didn't want to shovel the driveway
