With winter in it's final days (can't WAIT till it's OVER!) how would you rate your snowpack, temps?

For me:

Snowfall......a "2", snowfall to date, 29" compared to a "Normal 132"

Temps..... a "1.5" Coldest winter in 38 years, average daytime high thus far, 31°

I would rate ours a 6. Colder than average during January and to date I think we've had over a foot of snow in my area, if I'm not mistaken. March has hammered us before, so perhaps we'll get to our normal amount of snow. We've had winters though in the past where we had NOTHING.

I did see robin on the way to work this morning.

it's still too early as we have one more system yet to come through and some more temperatures to come in, but for the three months of Meteorological Winter (Dec-Feb) we have 2.20in of rain vs a normal of 3.00 but the temperatures have been consistently below normal with February likely to come in with the greatest departures and it could be the second Feb here with an average high below 60°F. This means that half of my Winter Outlook hit and the other half busted (sadly, it was the temperatures that busted since we could have used a bust for my below normal rainfall forecast).

What's your average snowfall to date? 1.5 seems silly.

Here.. snowfall has been a 9. 33.1" to date with our SEASONAL average approximately 25". Two 7" events (12/4-5 and 1/25), one 5.5" event (2/15), one 5" event (1/8-9), and one 4" event (2/2-3) make up most of our total.. with the remaining snow accumulating less than 2" at a time. First accumulations occured on November 30th so we had an early start and it was spread out rather nicely over the course of the winter. November finished with 0.2", December 10.1", January 12.6", and February 10.2" to date. We had at least 1" of snow on the ground from 12/4 to 12/21 and from 1/25 to 2/19. So it's been nice, but I'm ready for one big one and SPRING! If we get the Big one.. the winter is EASILY a 10.

Temps have been generally below average since the end of November... November as a whole was +4.9, December -1.1, January -1.3, and February is currently about average (+0.1). I'd give temps an 8, due to the fact that the NE saw the brunt of the cold air.. still a great year though!!

Even if you mean below 0°C (who in the US uses celsius for surface temps??), I do not find a 3 week period for Omaha, NE. It was below 0°C from 1/24 to 2/8. That's about 2 weeks there.

We have had warmer winters and we have had colder ones. But this year has seen fewer freezes than normal even though we started out cooler than normal.

Temperatures - a 7, as we did have a very cold January, and a chilly enough February.

Snow: 3. Sitting here with a crappy 15-20 inches when there should 30 inches plus. It didn't snow more than 5 inches the entire month of February.

Temps: 7. Approximately 10 days with subzero high temperatures. Three days that broke -30 and one that was near -35.
