I haven't forgotten but I didn't exactly remember the date either. My husband and I visited NYC October of that year. And he convinced me to go to the top of the WTC, to the inside observation deck. The outside deck was closed b/c of the bombing we were told. Security guards searched you before you rode the elevators. It actually at the time made me feel safer. We could look over at Windows on the World, and could see tables set with white tablecloths. But it was also closed, b/c the restaurant's kitchen was in a sub basement, taken out by the bombing. I remember feeling sad for the victims but grateful the building wasn't damaged more severely. Little did we know what was coming.
Thanks for the reminder David. I prayed for the victims of the bombing. Sometimes people forget there were more victims, other than from just 9/11.
