The storm before the warm is what I'm calling it here. Heavy wet snow forecast once again the 60s are on the way....serious flooding threat may be warranted later next week.

Morning everyone...I've been up since 5am since I fell asleep 'early' last night at 1030pm. I'm posting away as usual. I hope people stay safe in the south after all the hail reports and wind damage from Kansas and MO, across the deep south. Today is Round 2 and moving thru the Arklatex and TN valleys into Ohio and points east. Hail threats are still there today down south from TX to FL...so be aware today.

I'm waiting for the northern fringes to arrive from this line and we will get 2-5" of snow. I need 5" to have the greatest season EVER of snow up here...so I'm wishing for it! Also a coincidence that today is 10 years after the 1993 Superstorm and that year we saw 115" snow for the season...I have 111" and need 4 to tie, 5 to win!

I have my eye appt at 1:05pm and I'll see what needs to be done and costs etc. Right now I'm hoping for the 200th member here and I'm willing to bet it comes just after I post this message!!!! I guess I win a cookie for guessing the 200th would come by the 15th of this month...great work for the team here.

Catch ya later...and watch out for the lightning...there's a ton of it out there today!

Morning everyone. I had to take my grandmother to the doctor this morning... and had to sleep in a little after my adrenaline rush last night. Only major damage that occured in Missouri last night was some downed trees in Jefferson City!

Isolated damage reports, but overall we fared better than I thought we might.

Have a great day everyone.

What a contrast! And a 60% chance of showers/t-storms here this afternoon and tonight (none though expected to be on the strong/severe side in northeast NC where I am fortunately with this latest system!). Just some good ole' garden-variety in the piedmont! :)

Hail was a pounding on my windows at 5am. Haven't seen those buggers in a long time. :o I've only lived here 3 months, so I better get used to mid-west size storms. Spring is on its way. Me and noaa radio are ready!
