Nothing on the FOX website yet but Fox has had several live reports from Geraldo, including a phone-in call from him minutes of when his convoy was attacked.

Good news, though, everyone came out of it alive. The driver was shot in the shoulder and may have suffered a broken wrist but otherwise everyone else is okay.

Why is he still there anyway? Isn't this the doof that nearly gave away the location of the army company with which he was embedded? Was that while he was with MSNBC or with FOX?

I would hate to see anything happen to any of our people out there - military, civilian, journalist, politician or whatever. So I'm glad he's okay. But I never have been able to take him seriously ever since he had his tabloid talk show and also when he opened Al Capone's vault.

I agree Shawn. I was surprised to read that he was still over there. I'm glad noone was seriously hurt though.

Geraldo is too sleazy to waste a perfectly good bullet on...I think even the insurgents would agree with that.

Why an otherwise "bare and falanced" FoxNews keeps him on the air is beyond me....

They have to have someone there to balance them. Otherwise, they would be too good. Geraldo balances Linda Vester, Shep Smith, Bill O'Reilly, Uma Pemaraju, Jane Skinner, Greta Van Susteran, Tony Snow, and Sean Hannity. Whew! :-?

He was booted out of iraq for a while after his map drawing episode.. He was back here reporting from the studio for a while.. Then I guess he went back

Yes, Geraldo was in Iraq during "Operation Iraqi Freedom" as their "War Correspondent" -- he was back and forth a few times before going over for this "Road Trip" from Kuwait to Turkey.

I heard [on Fox News] in the last day or two that he would be reporting from Turkey, either tonight or tomorrow night at 10:00 pm Eastern on his show "At Large with Geraldo Rivera."

I believe he was back in the states once or twice, after the "map drawing episode."

Good grief - HIM, again? Didn't he "defect" after the
Fox map-drawing episode, or, something to that tune?

I HAVE to agree with Bill - he's not even worth a
bullet......

no, Peter Arnett turned on us in Iraq. Geraldo just drew the map and then "left" Iraq. ;)
