Good for the movie. I hope it becomes the all-time highest grossing film.

the French have already banned the movie as being anti Semitic (and the French should know being anti-Semites themselves) and I suspect that other European nations will follow suit which will limit the worldwide box office take. Also, the really big grossers are movies people watch more than once which in this case may not happen due to it's intensity. It will still do very well but is not likely to become the top grosser of all.

Just wishful thinking on my behalf, but I think it would be wonderful.

Agree Garrett that it would be extraordinary if the Passion gets to the top of the gross movie but as Steve said the theme may not get the movie to be seen in many countries.

I am a huge Sandra Bullock fan.. I saw Murder by Numbers {it was rated R} and I thought that was 1 of the worst movies she has ever been in..

Best Rated R movie I ever saw: Panic Room

Passion gets $76 million

#17 Postby sunnyday » Sun Feb 29, 2004 9:51 pm

If one person is influenced for God because of this movie, it will be worth it. I think that many, may people will be better as a result of seeing it.By the way, I am one of the very few people who hated The Titanic. I kept thinking that Kate Winslet looked way to old for Dicaprio in the movie.

France is the only European country where there is still no distribution deal for the movie. And I saw it today...it is not anti-Semitic.
