UK SNOW

#1 Postby ChaserUK » Mon Mar 01, 2004 2:24 pm

Well guys. We have had a lot of snow the last week. Scotland, England and Wales all affected. More surprisingly so did where I live. There had been no decent snow in this area for years, almost a decade! Anyway, here are some photos I took - enjoy. PS All the snow has melted now with temps forecasted at 10c or more for tomorrow!

Same story here as well. The heaviest snow took place on Valentine's Day, My area received 4 inches of it.

Yes this is right on the coast! The beach is a few meters from my window. I am moving soon but took this pic this evening from my new place. Should be moving in about 2 weeks :)

and yes this is a true pic too! I can't wait to move in. Best thing is this is facing SSW towards France. This is where Spanish Plumes come from. These can bring CAPES >3000 j/kg and severe storms!

the amazing thing is the location though - first real snow on the islands for nearly a decade and I only moved here in November last year expecting no snow whatsoever!

as I say Tom the weather community around the world really seems to be binding together now, did not see this until last year and our chase of Izzy really. May it continue!

Very true. I appreciate the correspondence with our friends from England. I liked mentioning "the western Atlantic coast (of Jolly Ol'England)." :)
