i would not be so confident of a bush win. he should win, but i am still concerned that his election team seems rather inept

Helen, now that Kerry is the de facto Democratic candidate, I believe the GOP campaign team will finally come out swinging, and soon!

I have heard that Kerry's voting record, his NE base and his "aid and comfort to the enemy" stance will haunt him with mainstream Americans; and, to illustrate this, North Vietnamese General Nguyen Van Giap's book, written in 1985, singles out "Hanoi Jane" Fonda, JOHN KERRY and others as contributing to the victory of the NVA.

Gen. Giap wrote that, without their "assistance" in opposing the war here at home, Hanoi would have surrendered within two months (1971) as we had them "on the ropes". :grrr:

This book, BTW, is required reading for Marine recruits as part of their "continuing military education library". It's a "must read" for all, IMHO.

Odd man out here. I was an Edwards supporter and I'm really sorry to see him leave the race. I'm not that pleased with John Kerry but if that's who the Democratic voters have endorsed, then I now have to support him.

So, now that John Edwards campaign has died, Garrett is "crossing over" to our side.

Welcome aboard, Garrett! :)
