Lincoln is demanding power to dictate State Fair's curriculum, has sent "visiting profesors" who it now wants to be placed as "permanent", etc.
It is feared that this may be a "test case" for larger colleges and universities to follow in future across the state....in essence, a hostile takeover of independent community colleges en masse in Missouri, and possibly elsewhere. For instance, Three Rivers CC in Poplar Bluff has a voluntary agreement to match its studies with SEMO for transfers; Debi was a beneficiary of this to smooth her transition. If Lincoln is permitted to proceed, SEMO could do the same to Three Rivers, UMSL to St. Louis Community College District, etc.
And so much for community colleges.

Some of us here are beneficiaries of junior/community colleges, either as technical schools or as springboards to four-year universities as transfer students (as I was). What think ye?
