Instead of the "usual", the GOP should use only THIS video, day after day until we WIN this war, and the election that will determine if "we, the people" have the WILL to win this war.

Our enemies won't stop; neither should we.

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.

excellant reminder. I will never forget 911. Bill..I agree with you 100% about GOP using this. Unfortunately..there are too many people who HAVE forgotten because it did not directly affect them or a member of their family. These people MUST be reminded that each person killed on that day was an ATTACK on all of us.

You know...it's funny...after watching that...being taken back to 9-11...seeing all that pain...emotional or physical...I realized that there are still some that think retaliation is wrong...that two wrongs don't make a right...in most cases...they are right...but in this case...the wrong is on too grand a scale for them to get away with what they did...excuse my mention of my religion for all you atheists/non-Christians, but this country was created under God...so even if the people who are fighting aren't Christian...God is with them nonetheless...this is a religious war, whether anyone here likes it or not...and I'm pretty sure God will turn a blind eye to us retaliating against the people who did this to our country...probably even help us out a bit...

(*after explaining a few tidbits with coppertop*)...The Commandment states "Thou shalt not do MURDER", which is causing the death of another willfully for revenge, gain, etc.

"Killing", on the other hand, is justifiable, and means in self-defense, in the prosecution of a just war (which this IS), or in concert with directions from a magistrate to bring order by dealing with heinous lawbreakers IF NECESSARY.

What Al Qaida did on 9-11-01 was MURDER on a grand scale; what we have done, and are doing is killing in defense of our homes, families and country...while at the same time, freeing people abroad from unspeakable horrors suffered under tyranny and bringing them HOPE.

Any questions?

The danger in not remembering...in not having the pain of that day run back through our hearts once again, is that we will bury it and choose to forget that we have enemies who seek to harm us for reasons they themselves manufacture.

Coppertop, thank you, THANK YOU, for the inspiring post. Your sentiments are real and your articulate words reflect a real understanding of the significance of 9/11 and the actions that have followed.

Being "proactive" in our defense of that day is nevertheless justified. Enemies that hide in dark places and sneak their way into caves and holes in the ground are enemies no less. Enemies to freedom and inspiration and hope. That is our fight. We did not seek it, but we are justified in battling it.

As perhaps the only world leader capable of taking the high ground in such battles, we set ourselves up for all kinds of criticism.

But no one can justify a non-reaction to the events of that day.

Strange, is it not...the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor galvanized America, and THOSE scenes are now a part of our everyday lexicon, promoted in countless history books.

Yet, for some unknown reason, the pictures of 9-11 are being debunked by the Democrats as "revisionist" and "inflammatory", while at the same time berating the President from displaying them...the same President whose actions to date have gone a lONG way in stemming the enemy's ability to mount such an attack as easily and deadly as before.

Hello?

Intimidator,

What our forefathers did is a matter of record...they took on the British Empire (as a "foreign invader") twice...once, to secure our liberty in a country of our own; and 30 years later, to settle grievances against British actions in violation of our sovereignty and that of our citizens.

In sum, they'd have FOUGHT. We should do no less.
