Jeremy, with a soul like yours I know the relationship will work out the way it is meant to. God always works for what is right and best if we allow him to.
Miss Mary, the prayers are coming in from W Houston for your Mom, You and the rest of the family. Apprehension can take it's toll to say the least. Praying for better than expected results and some time for you too.
Our situation continues in "limbo" for lack of a better word. Still haven't settled anything with the wreck except that the car is totalled(duh!)-will get an offer from my insurance on that today. Still nothing from the other party so we are still in a wait mod on that part. The other know in the wreck situation is the fact I was injured, but am healing slowly but surely. It is all aches and pains, but some of them are in places I have never had them before. It sounds like I am borrowing pessimism here, but I am not sure my leg will ever be the same again, but I do tend to be impatient in the healing process. It just grinds on me to not be able to do the things I normally do. For those that do not know, we had a "flood" at our house Sunday night with a broken water bed. We figure it will take at least a month till the house is anywhere near back to normal. Anyway, my simple request is for both of these situations to be worked out as God wills them to be for his glory. He always has tested us and he always has taken care of us so that is what we look for during this time.(not even sure that made sense) Anyway, I should get to work soon so Until next time-C YA!!

Waterbed floods are no fun. Worse, still, if they are upstairs!
No waterbeds any more, but we have mandatory sprinklers in every room of our house. I worry often about a misfiring sprinkler while we're in San Diego.
Our insurance agent said his most expensive claims from homes is from water damage, not fire.
David...hard to keep a sense of humor through all that, but did you have enough time to put the rubber ducky in the flood and watch him float out the door?
Seriously...you have plenty of challenges going on right now. Find humor where you can. Your faith will take care of the rest.

I know this may be a tad off-topic... but I might be away from my computer this weekend. I am a little down about things right now
and just need time to think things through! Hopefully, I'll be back posting away on Monday!
The things are my friend Emily, my friend Emily, my friend Emily... get the picture! :lol
Thanks, and I'll be around Monday!

Quick update on my Mom - our prayers were answered! She came out of this ordeal once again with an angiogram only - second time she's faced possibly more but needed only an angiogram!!! The stress test she had a week ago revealed a possible blockage in the main artery. When they got in there to look and repair, there wasn't a blockage - wide open! Turns out the test was a false positive, which we were told can happen with female patients. Now they did see a blockage in the artery behind the heart but it's been building up and now is calcified bone. With a large enough opening so blood is pumping thru just fine. Her doc wants her on either Zocor or Lipitor to keep that open and functioning like it is right now. She was only in the hospital for 8 hours and back home last night. Thank you all for your prayers - they sure worked wonders here!!! Nearly everyone - doctor's, nurses, family members, friends, my mom herself - feared the worst here! Needless to say, my mom was very relieved. We all are too. So thanks everyone - you are the very best online family anyone could ask for!!!
Love and hugs to my Storm2K friends!!!

Thanks,. everyone!

It is just how do you get to know someone when they are not available? :-? Oh, no, we are on good terms, good friends and all; it is just a little frustrating.
Thanks, again, and I might drop in a little during the weekend.

Please keep me in my prayer for my work situation (I'm part-time at an Easter Seals-United Cerebral Palsy copy center called Copymatics Document Solutions)...and...yesterday at day's end was NOT a good day for me after all...as I thought it would be...I sent my supervisor the following email early this afternoon...hopefully will hear back from her before the end of today:
Dear Lela,
Late yesterday afternoon I was very pleased and proud of myself having printed 500 envelopes on the duplicator and that is why I wanted to tell you that before going home. I was expecting to hear something like a simple, "Wonderful, Eric!" It is no surprise to me that I am a slow worker, because that slowness is part of of my Asperger Syndrome high-functioning autism...you and Glenn don't understand what A.S. is since it probably isn't in your family histories. After your response to me, down deep I felt upset, it seemed like you were putting me down for not having ran more than one box envelopes (knowing how our duplicator machine isn't the easiest to operate at times when it comes to print quality!). You, Glenn and I all expect and want quality work results for our customers...I guess I'm almost too careful with my output and don't know where the "happy medium" is.
Regards,
Eric
Again thank you very much for your prayers and thoughts and ya'll are in mine, too, with your prayer request needs!

Here's her response:
Dear Eric, I feel very badly about how you are feeling right now. I had no idea that you were interperting our conversation on such a personal level. As you recall, there were many factors contributing to the inability to use that machine to it's maximum. One of the most irritating being the continual need to frequently stop the duplicator for inspections. We should be able to run 500-1000 copies per master. Hardly the case yesterday. Then the time involved in running the masters as well. You recall too that while I was on the phone for what seemed forever, that I asked you to stop the machine. I know these things, Glenn knows them and in your letter I see you know these things to be fact as well. Please don't take my disapointment in the lack of productivity to be a disapointment in you.Rather take it as it is...a total frustration with machines when they don't work as they should. It bothers me some that you brought up the Aspergers. Eric that is part of who you are. I! 'd prefer for you to look at the positive side of tAS . And that is that you are extremly quality conscientious. If I'm not mistaken, that can be attributed to the AS as well .Glenn and I are very pleased with that aspect and take advantage of that quality frequently in the assignments we give you. We will perhaps always try to help you stay aware of your speed, however we are and for some time have been extremly pleased with your work performance and thought that you were aware of that. We are very proud of the obsticals you have over come and the strides you have made. Eric N. answering the phone!!!!! ( one of my favorites ). One more pretty amazing thing comes to mind as well, there was a time when you would hold in your frustrations and not tell us about your concerns. You have found a very appropriate and effective way of doing so and you should congratulate yourself for having written such a well written and timely email. If you like we can discuss this further tommorrow. ! I hope you have a pleasant evening and will see you in the morning. Lela

Eric - I hope her e-mail made you feel better. I cannot imagine the difficulties you experience communicating with others, but I do know that as much as you seem to be valued at your job, you are a very valuable member here at S2K! Never feel funny about expressing your frustrations and concerns to anyone. Many of the problems occur because of how it is communicated. I think you did a fine job communicating to your boss and she definately feels the same way.
We miss you Joshua! Hope everything is going well at your new home!
Okay, I don't usually ask for prayers but I've had to schedule a colonoscopy for April 22. I've passed blood twice in the last week and I have irritable bowel syndrome. I had an apppointment with my doctor this afternoon and he said that because I've had several problems in the past with my disease, that he wanted me to call my specialist to set up an appointment for the procedure. The specialist told me last year when I had to see him that he was going to notate in my records that he wanted me to have one when I turn 45. I guess I couldn't wait that long. Thanks guys!

Steph, you're in my prayers and thoughts, Wxbuddy. I have irritable bowel , too, and will probably have to have a colonoscopy done, also, at least by 45. Currently 41 here. I heard one time on a news program that there's now a better way for a colon check-up by use of a CAT-scan. You may want to check with your doctor to see if that is option is available in your part of New Jersey.

Stephanie and Eric...
First of all, I had a colonoscopy in November last year. At age 58, it had been 5 years since my previous one...so it was time. The procedure is no problem whatsoever...only the preparation is no fun...purging the system and making sure you are "all clear" when they drive that scope into the tunnel. Stephanie, there are many things worse than that...and I'm sure you will feel reassured about your overall health once the results are heard.
As for you Eric, being in the printing business, I know all about how hard it can be to run those dup machines. We used to fight them for hours trying to print some simple envelopes. Can be the ink, the water, the humidity...who knows.
I think your note was excellent too as was the response you got back. Obviously you are highly thought of by your boss. Hope you had time to talk with her too.
I'm personally proud of you, Eric, for wanting to express your own concerns. You did it professionally and with respect as well.
Things will be fine for both you and Stephanie.

I've been around a bit this week, but tonight will be my last night probably for the next few. It now appears that either Saturday or Sunday (more likely Saturday) will be my moving day so I will need tomorrow to do my packing and hence I will be offline. Then I need to wait to get my Internet hooked back up. So prayers would be appreciated that all goes well in the final move and that I can be back online ASAP!

Thanks Steve as always! I've heard about the "prep work" that needs to be done prior to the procedure. Can't wait!
Unfortunately, I have a month to think about it and I'll be constantly checking for other problems. It is time, however, to see what's going on though.
Joshua - I hope that your move goes well. I'll be thinking about you!

Eric - You're a very special guy, and a great many folks appreciate you. Especially here!!
Glad everything worked out well in this situation.
Steph - You are always the first to pray for others, so we are privileged to go straight to the Throne for you, girlfriend. When they do the colonoscopy, there will only be clean, healthy tissue!

Eric, what a professionally done email!!! You did a great job expressing yourself and not holding it in. Too many times people assume that something is what it is not and don't bother to communicate their concerns to others. sometimes this leads to real major problems. You avoided this with your communication to your boss, who was good enough to be sure she set the record straight on her feelings about your work and give you well deserved props and some very sound advice!!! I wish all the bosses I have had were like that!!
Stephanie, BTDT and overdue for it now. Can't afford it without insurance which I may not have for 3 more months. Since my Dad died from Colon Cancer I am of course at risk and must watch myself closely. Like Steve said it will be over before you know it and the really fun part is the "preparation". Prayers going out for all to be well and for you not to dwell on it constantly till you get through it.
