Sorry gang -

There was NOTHING on the local news last night or this morning. :-?

I had heard that Jessica Simpson was supposed to be at that Walmart to sign autographs on Friday, but I can't imagine that would make them close the whole store and tape it off. I'll keep looking but I am really confused.

It could very well have been a raid - I'm sure if that's the case, it'll be out in the news shortly.

I can't believe there's nothing on your local news. I got curious last night, or nosey, whatever you wanna call it ;) and looked on some of your local news sites but couldn't find anything. I figured we'd know something this morning though.

I can tell you this much. Storm2k has successfully managed to get the attention of the national media. I'm sure choppers and newsmobiles are headed your way, Stephanie! This is the kind of stuff that Fox News will want to get their hands on!

Illegal aliens in aisle three!

So my arse is going to be hauled away when I get home tonight????

I know what you mean Kelly, I was looking on the websites of the local news papers and stations - NOTHING!

When I first saw it, I first thought a bomb threat, anthrax, etc. but I realized that if it was any of those, Rt. 42, which is a major North/South highway that runs from Philadelphia to the Shore, would've been closed as well and noone would've gotten in. Perhaps it was a raid on it for illegal aliens. I hope there's something in the news soon.

IT WAS A BOMB SCARE!!!!

Bomb scare empties Wal-Mart (Thursday, 3/04/2004, Gloucester Times )
WASHINGTON TWP. -- A bomb scare forced the closure of the Turnersville Wal-Mart for several hours Wednesday night after two employees were approached and told the store would be "blown up."

This is from the local newspaper. I'm very surprised that they reported it first since they usually just repeat what was reported from the newswires.

Bomb threats are nothing to laugh about, but this thread was. Saw the same helicopter on my way home from work...he was heading west, so he must have been returning from Joisey's Wal Mart!

Stephanie... That's not a big challenge. My footsteps are virtually the same every day. Just the shoes and clothes change.

I go right by Wal Mart on my way to work, too!

Is that another chopper I hear? Oh, I guess not. We're under a severe thunderstorm warning right now! That was thunder!
