Who is your choice for President?

#1 Postby southerngale » Thu Mar 04, 2004 8:07 pm

Please include your reasons why you voted the way you did. I will definitely vote for Bush because I believe he is the right man at the right time for this job. I care about the future of America and I cannot imagine Kerry as our commander in chief. That just scares me. His voting record scares me.
Besides, I think Bush is doing a great job and has handled his many obstacles quite well. :)

I don't know yet, I really really do not care for politics, so I've really been paying as little attention as possible, but I do care about America and I want to use my right to vote! So I guess that means I'll have to start paying attention... *sob*

I will also vote for President Bush. He's led this country through one of the darkest times in our history with resolve and strength. The economy took a huge hit from 9-11 but now it's on the way back. Kerry's waffling an issues and his stance on the war on terror is exactly what we don't need now!

I don't know myself either. I do not want to vote for Bush, but I have questions about Kerry myself. I guess we'll just see what the next 8 months brings, but I WILL exercise my right to vote - always have.

If George Bush doesn't win, then I will NOT feel safe with ANY of the others.

I picked Libertarian. A change is needed in this country and a message needs to be sent to D.C. It is time to thin out the D's & R's. Half the people don't even vote. Why is that? They don't care what direction the country goes? Or do they just figure no matter who gets elected you get the same thing? In some countries they stand in line for days just to vote. Here if you are too busy to spend the 10 minutes or so you can get a ballot and mail it in ahead of time.

CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT

#8 Postby sunnyday » Thu Mar 04, 2004 10:13 pm

I honestly don't know. Bush is a good Christian man, and I believe his heart is in the right place. I can never vote for Kerry because of his stand on abortion.

I'll vote for Bush. The main reason is that I appreciate the way he's shown the world that America will not sit and wait for another 9-11. I know we don't need a leader who will turn his back on terrorism. With Kerry's flip flopping, who knows what he might do. One day he's for something and the next day, he's against it. We need someone who says what they mean and does what they say. Bush is the man for the job.
I also appreciate the way that Bush is not ashamed to mention God's name.

I am voting Bush because while I don't agree with all of his policies... I trust him more. If this country were put in a stressful situation... I have faith that he would make the right decision. Kerry would change his mind 15 times.

I am not voting for Bush. I will not vote for Nader either, because it is essentially a vote for Bush. If there is no suitable, more centrist alternative to Kerry, then I will vote for Kerry. I'm not sure about Libertarian. I would consider myself a social libertarian, but I have explored their website (check BEER980's sig) and I just can't seem to agree with any issues other than social ones. I do know for sure that I WILL be voting in this election. Since I will be in Florida, I feel my vote would be much more crucial to the outcome than if I were still in Texas.

I think the results of this poll speak for themselves. This is a Republican board.

I will probably decide who to vote for a few days before the election. At this piont, I am leaning toward Bush.

Bush with both my hands tied behind my back.

Reasons:

1. His desire to do what is right for the country regardless of the political consequences he may face.

2. His stance on abortion and his push to nominate pro life Judges.

3. He is not a Democrat.

lol j

We've heard some reasons why folks are voting for Bush. I'd love to hear why those who are voting for Kerry plan on voting that way. To be honest, I can't imagine a good reason, but that's why I want to hear your reasoning. :)

I'm surprised that the Kerry voters aren't saying why they would vote for him. I promise you won't be attacked if you do. We may disagree but I will make a personal pledge that your views will be respected. :-)

Do you have bullet-proof glass available?

I agree with what Beer said - our country has so much gray and we're constantly being asked to vote black or white.
