Well today is the first day in months i have seen sunny skies with warm temps into the low70s. A bit windy however. However good things must come to a end and this warmth will be a distant memorey come tomorrow as it struggles to get to 40 and may have some rain mixed with snow! Looks to stay that way too and even colder perhaps next week with a few shots of some accumulating snows out this way!
After an entire week with clouds, rain, snow, thunderstorm, hail, and a little wind damage, it is going to be nice in my area today. Mid to upper 50s here in OMA/Council Bluffs, potentially near 60 just to our south, with mostly sunny skies.
It is currently 84° now, today's high was expected to be 86°... falling to around 80° by 5:00 pm ET, but has been rising.
A narrow band of showers and possible developing thunderstorms are moving southeastward from the Florida
panhandle (about 150 miles from me) and may give my area some rain.
Marion county, FL, a couple miles to my north has a 20% of showers this evening.
Today at Omaha's Eppley airport we reached 61 degrees, our first 60 degree temp in awhile. It looks great for the next week, too! Upper 40s into the 50s, with at least one TV station predicting 60 or so a couple days this coming week!
