Early spring comes to an end in the East, with a potential last hurrah for the Carolinas? ... possible ...

Actually, Colin ... you MIGHT want to route that on, since it COULD carve out quite a trough, and set up as least a TEMP 50/50 low, and just enough for the next bigger threat mid-month ...

LMAO. I agree Colin!(Sorry SF) I admit i am sick and tired of hearing about snows in the Carolinas when so many others like myself are way behind on our seasonal snows. I know im terrible.

Give the models a few more runs to work this out. They have kinda been all over the place with this weeks upcoming clippers anyway. They (NWS)are still mentioning rain (Not snow)for here on Sunday btw. And it being March im not gonna argue with them!

This is sure one absolutely CRAZY March!!

I am sitting here with board shorts and a t-shirt on, with the house temps in the low 70s, and a current temp outside of 70 degrees!!!

Wow folks, better hold on to your hats! Here we are, all used to spring, and thinking summer, and I am dreaming of taking a run down to the OBX and enjoying a nice beach jebwalk, and now its gonna get COLD again?!!!! The 528 dcm line is progged to be over northern North Carolina!!!

NOW I know why they call this March madness!!!

Ya know there's one thing I'd like to know................It's been in the 70s with lows in the 50s down in the Carolinas.............How in all the earth is that snow ever gonna accumulate anywhere?

C'mon folks, lets be reasonable about this.......It's Spring now in the East.

The Robins are bobbin', the trees have buds, my daffodils are 6 inches outa the ground and my grass is coming up and we got the lawnmower checked up today!!!!

Winter is over.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a odd way i do agree with you Jeb. Yea i said what i did above (Kinda wishing a little and well the models do say what they did)but come on lets be reasonable here. Its not gonna snow anymore here and if it does it wont be anything to write home about. Heck last march it didnt snow at all. Last snow last winter was in Feb. I just dont think its in the cards for here at least anyways. I did enjoy todays mid 70s. Even had a heat index of 79 here! Not bad. But yea i am starting to lean towards closing the book on the rotten winter of 03/04 for here anyways. Gonna take alot to get me to think otherwise.

Winter NOT OVER !!!!

#10 Postby Anonymous » Sun Mar 07, 2004 6:58 pm

The winds of winter continue across much of the midwest today and much colder air will return in the SE early next week. In fact, latest run of the 00 GFS Tuesday night (midnight Wed), shows the potential of some snow in the Carolinas.

and the Euro showing the 0C line into CHAS, SC with low pressure moving SE from KY:
