Willie's concert was the best I've ever seen, and I've seen some good ones. He is truly a talented wonder at 70.

I can't stand to hear Willie sing. I think it has something to do with the fact that when my brother and I were still living with our parents, he'd come home late at night (2 or 3 am) and put his Willie record on the turntable. He used earphones, but I could still hear Willie whinning out a song. I spent many miserable nights forced to listen to that and it turned me off to his singing.

I was invited to Willie's concert in Sedona AZ a year ago...and passed on it. It was a spoiled knee-jerk reaction to missing the chance at Norah Jones up there...so I just said no when I really meant yes to the invitation.

Glad you got to see him and enjoyed the show. Best performance/concert I ever saw was a surprise to me. John Denver in the round.

Yes, he's 70, but he has so much energy onstage. His rough looks are part of the appeal. lol

 Of course, if I smoked enough funny grass I would have that kind of energy at 70, too.
