Interesting, 85% turnout for the Democratic Primaries is quite high.
Puerto Rico's population is dense with 3.8 million people on an island nation that is 3,515 square miles; the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined.
I just checked a website that says 2 million Puerto Ricans moved to the United States, if these people remained, the island would be so densely populated that there would be virtually no room for people to live.
Tom the 85% average turnout here in Puerto Rico is for the general elections every 4 years. For the US party primaries here the turnout is quite lower around 40% on average but most of that 40% go and vote at the democratic primaries.About the over 2 millon people from here that are in the states the vast majority are living in New York and Florida is the second place that most Puertorricans are living but in every state we have people from here living including Alaska where around 300 boricuas live.
