Good Morning!

WOW, once again I find myself ashamed for not stopping by more often, what's that old sayin, "There aren't enough hours in the day?" I swear, I get up at 0430, by the time I have my coffee, read through the posts, get dressed, it's time for bed and start ALL over again!

ANYWAYS.....wish I could help you Shannon, I've only moved 2 times in my adulthood, once across town and second, just 2 short years ago into the new house. We moved stuff out into our shed, stayed at a friends house just down the road a piece, then moved back into the new house in the same spot as the old house! HUH? lol

Not much else going on...OH, *shhhh* I've been let back on TWC message boards! Can you BELIEVE after being banned for a year, I snuck back in??? I guess the new powers that be are letting ALL who were banned, back on.....the OLD PBS is still going!

Well, we'll be on our way shortly...kinda excited now, still terribly scared :).
Michelle says she'll be out there about the time we'll be getting set up, Dennis...awesome! It'll be fun to hook up with my west coast friends. :)
So, B gave his notice at work today, this means we have anywhere from 1 day, to 2 weeks to be on our way. I'd appreciate this fine group's prayers while on our travels there.
We decided today to drive out there in just 1 car this time, and when we fly back to meet the movers, we'll bring home the truck and camper. I'm soooooooo glad I'm not driving by myself in my car...that was freaking me out!

Take care all,
Shan

I had to move FAR away from the PBS these last couple of days. Afternoon temps soared to 90 degrees both Sunday and Monday. Perhaps 93 on Tuesday before settling back into the 80's again.

Got a nice note from Tracy (TLC) who says she misses everyone and always appreciates the warm thoughts. She's doing pretty well these days, and that is so good to hear.

Well, I'm headed back out to the Front Porch from the PBS again tonight. 72 and beautiful here at 8:30 pm.

It is in the mid 60s at this late hour (11:05 PM). Sure feels like summer, not first couple weeks of March. :-?

Just wanted to let you all know, in case you didn't see it in my thread; that I might be moving on Friday to my own place. It's not written in stone yet, but as I learn more I will pass it on to you. :)

Isn't amanzi's baby the most beautiful child???

We were camping this past weekend, we asked ourselves what we'd like to do again in Louisiana before we move, and we all voted on camping...the kids brought their friends with, and it was a great time...the weather could not have been nicer. It's Spring, the nicest time in Louisiana weather.

Well, we have a house waiting on us in Temecula...we have taken it sight unseen, but from the description feel it has everything we are looking for, except space! :) How do you downsize from an almost 4000 sq ft house, to a 1400 sq ft house, overnight? lol It looks like we have a huge garage sale once we are there and realize NOTHING FITS! lol It's a great neighborhood tho, the kids can walk to school there, and there are many children their ages within a 4 house square! This is a great thing. It's much less than our present mortgage, so we are planning to save save save, and invest! :)

Our move date is official now...a week from this coming Friday, we will be on the road...

Our house was shown several times this weekend, and I took it much better than anticipated...at this point, I just want it sold. Once we start our new lives out in SoCal, it'll be even easier to let go of.

Hope everyone is feeling a bit of Spring...everything is blooming so nicely here.

Take care y'all!

Thanks Steph, it's a gamble, but then, aren't a lot of things in life? :) I'm just ready to get there, and start living the new life...

Furry, I'm so excited for you. As I've said before, I think with the love that you and your family have for one another, you could live in an igloo in Alaska and make everything warm and cozy. I know it's really stressful, but just consider the move as an adventure - kinda like a long camping trip. ((Hugs))

Well, I'll throw a log on the fire, brew a pot of Earl Grey, snuggle up with Grannies afgan and relax for awhile.

Have a great night everyone. Hey Mary, the teas on!!!!!!!

Temecula hmm ... funny, someone I kind of know just moved out that way. Also funny that I'm not too sure where it is! :P

I have a major update on my moving situation today. Rather than posting it twice, I'll just direct ya to my moving thread. :)

Hey everyone :)

With these warm days, I better sit far away from the stove or I might just melt. Swimming weather is just around the corner...we might need to start meeting on the front porch soon. :)

Southerngale...swimming weather may be around the corner for some here, too, but I'm a warm-water swimmer. I'll be in the pool around June 1st.

Great weather here today, though, with about 80 degrees an abundant sunshine.

I thought at that part where it says bch that it read b***h at first. *bad Joshua!!!*

Have a more official move date of Monday now, not sure if it's AM or PM yet though. I also set up my utilities to be turned on on Monday as well (today that is).
