2:00 am EST to 4:00 am EST: 6,395
68.77% increase from 12:00 am EST to 4:00 am EST.
There was quite a bit of activity from southeastern Kansas southwestward through Oklahoma, northern Texas and eastern New Mexico.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was in effect from 3:00 am CST to 7:00 am CST across central and western Oklahoma, eastward to the panhandle of Texas. Several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were also issued.
68.77% increase from 12:00 am EST to 4:00 am EST.
There was quite a bit of activity from southeastern Kansas southwestward through Oklahoma, northern Texas and eastern New Mexico.

12:30 pm EST to 2:30 pm EST: 13,822
Impressive lightning strikes numbers this afternoon. Thunderstorms were occurring across
eastern Kansas southwestward into west-central and western Oklahoma, southward into
northern and central Texas.
Another smaller cluster was across southeastern Texas and older strikes (back to 12:30 pm
EST) were across northern Missouri and very few (closer to 2:30 pm EST) were in northern
Arizona.

Thunderstorms across north-central Florida (and to the east of Tampa) was one out of several areas of activity.
The other areas include isolated activity over the Carolinas, the southwestern Gulf of Mexico [two clusters], extreme southern Texas into northern Mexico and areas across west-central and central Texas.

There were lightning strikes off the Atlantic coast, from off the Delmarva Peninsula southward,
off the Carolina and Florida coasts.
Another large cluster of strikes was across the northwestern Texas panhandle and a very small
cluster several miles south of Brownsville, Texas.

a swath of somewhat broken lightning strikes over Arizona, southwestern New
