LIndaloo and Kelly if it is confirmed that the #2 guy of Al-Qaeda has been captured it will be a huge blow to Al-Qaeda because he is the one who orders the operations not OBL and he is the ideological leader who has been in the audiotapes recently speaking and some analists say he is the brain of Al-Qaeda.

It's confirmed. Its Ayman al zalahairi. This comes from senior pakistani and AMERICAN officials.

Why is it that the lower you go as a human being the higher you go on the value scale?

Saddam instead should have been no higher than the two of spades, and Osama and his right hand man are even less.

How about a news report that instead says,

"Pakistani forces have surrounded an area believed to be the source of the horrible stench smelled 'round the world' since 9/11. Gas masks are in place as are hip boots and a variety of heavy duty disinfectants. Roto Rooter teams stand ready with their snakes to root the source out!"

But Anthony they dont say as a defenitive thing that the Pakistani's say it is the #2 man but instead they say we think or they claim it is.What we have to watch for is tonight after 8:00 PM EST because it will be dawn at that part of the world and there may be air strikes from the Pakistani air force targeting that area and by then we may learn much more.

Again Anthony the choice of words are crucial as the word BELIEVE is mentioned but also it is not a definitive word.But instead of the word BELIEVE they say IT IS AL ZAWAHIRI then it is a confirmed news.After 8:00 PM EST we will have more news as air strikes will happen there and we will know much more.

What no one has mentioned here yet is the fact the Pakistanis are helping in the war on terror. To me this is a major break through that they are doing this!!! Muslim against Muslim. My hats are off to the Pakistani troops and prayers going out to those killed in this.

The operation Lindaloo that is going on now consists of Pakistan troops and not US troops with them so they indeed are helping a great deal in the war on terror and Pervez Mussaraf has to be praised.

I agree. But the Terrorists aren't real Muslims in a sense they are only using the religion to their advantage. I feel eventually this may be their downfall. Time will tell.
