ert
(not that you'll see this, but my 2 cents worth anyway)
Although you may find this a surprise, there are some of us who have morals, values, and common courtesy. A public figure should not let curse words slip so that kids can hear them. Personally, I'd rather not hear them either. Cursing does not impress me.
I realize that Kerry and Bush are human, just like I am. But that does not excuse the use of profanity in public.
Do I use curse words? Once in a while I'll let one slip, for example, when the snap ring on my tractor decided to snap shut on my finger, I found myself saying a few words that otherwise I would not use! But I didn't do it in public for the whole world to hear. Does swearing make me a "man"? NO. It shows immaturity on my part. Does swearing make Kerry or Bush a man? NO. It shows immaturity. The only time I recall hearing Bush "swear" was that time he said the "A" word about the reporter. Kerry has been called on it a few times. Again, swearing does NOT impress me. I'd much rather hear what Kerry plans to do about terrorism, should he be elected. (I don't see that happening). I'd also like to know who the "foreign leaders" who endored him are....oh, wait...he changed that story too, didn't he?

As far as the thread topic, I will have to admit that it kind of sickens me if he did utter the line "I don't fall!" That indicates a severly overinflated ego and is something I hope he does not let follow him into the White House if he is elected. I generally take liberal positions on issues, but that doesn't make me a big fan of the Democratic party or any specific candidate automatically and without question; I do not worship Kerry by any means. I think he would be better than Bush, but I also think he has his fair share of flaws with respect to his personality and character.

what i dont understand is why everyone is making such a big deal about this. we hear that kind of language every day, in every capacity, and every environment. sure it might be distasteful, especially coming from a sitting president in GWB, or a presidential candidate in John Kerry. It also does not measure ones professionalism (or lack thereof) ability to do their job. If a co-worker of yours makes a comment along those lines about someone to a small group of people, or another colleague, such as “you know that such and such a person is a real a$$hole or a mean lady or whatever”, everyone either just lets it go in one ear and out another, doesnt care about it and continues going about their business, or maybe even laughs about it. But the point is NO ONE MAKES A BIG DEAL OVER IT, not even supervisors or bosses in most instances. We all do it from time to time; therefore do we really have the right to judge, even if it is the president of the United States, and a presidential candidate in a position of power…I think not. Sometimes, those reporters need someone to fire back at them after all the degrading, undermining, and personally deforming comments they make. The same goes for others who just set out to in plain English piss other people off. And there ARE people out there (we refer to them as trolls here), but no matter what you call them they are all the same, and deserve to get it too once in awhile.

yeah, nice post i agree with you. personally i have grown to dislike Kerry and and NEVER liked or supported george bush. i could deal without both of them and their crap. i am a republican, but frequently vote outside of party lines, i dont agree with every move the republican party makes, and frankly im still in a little surprized that george bush is the best we could come up with in 2000. in 2000, i voted for and supported Al Gore once John McCain was out of the race.

Firefighter - LOL!!

I doubt that a President's website would contain curse words. With that being said, Kerry should probably follow that example.

No bearing on anything. Again-irrelevant, next!

Pres. Bush also said that it was out-of-line and apologized to the reporter. Kerry trashes everyone than refuses to apologize. No...I don't thing its "next"!

Ok...just a quick question....are we the tax paying Americans paying for Kerry's Secret Service guys? Or is the Democratic party paying for them?

Presidential candidates are afforded Secret Service protection paid for by the tax payer when requested.

And of course the president then gets that protection for life...which, hey, that's ok with me...we don't want it said that we allowed former presidents to be shot as soon as they left office...
