The 70 inches of snow in Oswego County over a 3 day span. I drove down the next day to see it- it was incredible...

Hard to say because we really didnt get anything of significance here. Atleast imo anyways. If anything this will be the winter of wasted cold imo and thats how i will remember it.

I almost gotta agree with King here...however, the best event of the bunch was Jan 25-27 - 5" from the 25-26, with another inch right after that.

Dec. 5th-6th...NWS forecasting 2-4" for me the night of Dec 5th, and I woke up to 7.5"! The second storm Dec. 6th, dropped another couple of inches for a grand total of around 10" from both storms.

I guess the 1 1/2" rain of late Feb. was my best event. Have to say rain because snow is such a rarity here. ;)

Several close calls here ... with several days of traces of sleet/ZR/snow ... but nailing the cold air damming scenario back in January which sent the wedge clear across into the Southeast and spreading westward into Georgia and even parts of Alabama was quite an event ...

However, another close call had to be the February 26th, 2004 snowstorm in the Carolinas ... which Charlotte got over a foot of snow, and some great pics send to me via email ...

Take your pick here on North Central LI. Lots of events of Snow but I must say the Cold of January may have been the best.

12 5/6 22 Inches
12/14 5.5
1/15 8.6
1/19 6.0
1/28 14.2
2/6 1
2/18 1
2/24 .6
3/17 5.3
3/18 2.0
3/19 5.2

Add it all up ya get 71.4 Inches which is a little less than last year.

Mine would have to be this 31 inches of snow we picked up in less than 24 hrs during that same early December storm!

Wasnt much that happened here this winter. Probably the 6 inchers we had in mid December. A couple other close calls but a boring winter compared to last. My favorite winter event is still the suprising snowstorm last February. Received around 23".
