Is this going to be reported about from local officials? Or will they say nothing happened, it hardly rained and winds were only 27 mph?
Gee- I wish I had my Tahoe down there to measure some 5 meter winds. Believe me, if I had a way, I would have gone. I am surprised that world-renowned storm chaser Geoff Mackley did not go. He is usually in the most remote places seeking out the worst Ma Nature has to offer.
Look at the more intense convection right as it nears land

I am looking all over the Internet for info. Nothing can be found outside of what the awesome folks here at the board are finding.
Since there are no advisories being written, there is nothing to find but what the news agencies are putting out.
I know all of the forecasters at the NHC and have for several years- however, I am not at the level yet (that I'm aware of) where I can call in on the "red phone". Maybe I'll ask Max Mayfield about that in two weeks at the National Hurricane Conference. We'll see....
