Kerry is doing it again/still. What a snake!!

Recieved this in an email from a man I respect for his knowledge. As the person who sent it to him says...Guys - If this is true, and I believe it is, America will be much weaker and poorer if Kerry is elected into office. The public deserves to know how much of a snake he is and how willing he is to sell our souls so that he can win this election. Please forward this to everyone you know to get the message out.

Thanks, and God bless America!

Claim: Kerry Promoting Increased Foreign Tariffs to Alter Presidential Election
By Jimmy Moore
Talon News
March 26, 2004
WASHINGTON (Talon News) -- A major taxpayer group is urging likely Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry to stop collaborating with the European Union (EU) to impose damaging tariffs on U.S. products being exported from key swing states in the upcoming presidential election.

Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist noted that Kerry has been touting his popularity among foreign leaders in recent weeks. However, Norquist said he was shocked to learn the extent some foreign leaders will go to remove President George W. Bush from the White House in November.

Norquist points to direct evidence of election tampering by the EU in which they are purposefully applying high tariffs to U.S. goods that are received from key electoral states in the upcoming presidential election in the United States.

He added that it appears the strategy by Kerry and the EU is to keep the American economy sagging and unemployment rising.

"It's official," Norquist exclaimed in a press release. "Europe is actively participating in the U.S. election and is collaborating with the Kerry campaign."

Chiding the Massachusetts senator for jeopardizing American workers for the sake of political gain, Norquist sent a firm reprimand to the Kerry campaign.

"ATR calls on Kerry to stop this collaboration now and remove the tariffs being placed on U.S. companies and workers," Norquist asserted.

Beginning on March 1, 2004, the EU started collecting the inflated tariffs on U.S. products made in these key swing states in the 2004 presidential election.

In fact, even higher tariffs will be levied at the beginning of each new month unless changes in the tax law take place.

The Foreign Sales Corporations (FSCs) and the extraterritorial income exclusion (ETI) export subsidies were both found to be in violation of World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements due to a suit brought by the EU.

In response to this, Bush, along with the U.S. Congress, has submitted a proposal to bring the United States tax code in compliance with the ruling by the WTO.

But on Wednesday, Democratic members of the Senate began filibustering the Bush plan, so these increased tariffs will remain in effect indefinitely.

Norquist said the net effect of these obstructionist tactics by the Democrats along with the EU is that it will make it more difficult for U.S. products to compete overseas, cause job losses, and stifle economic growth.

"Coordinating political maneuvers to inflict job losses in swing states is economic treason," charged Norquist. "If Euro-socialists don't want Bush to be President of the United States, bully for them."

Concluding that this attempt by Kerry to win the presidency at any cost is a travesty, Norquist said the level this has been taken to is unprecedented.

"But for a challenger to look to Europe to inflict pain in the United States is taking Machiavellian power plays to a level never before seen in American politics," Norquist observed.

Americans for Tax Reform is a non-partisan group of taxpayers and taxpayer groups who are opposed to all federal and state tax increases

This is BEAUTIFUL! Kerry, going along with the EU...and the Dems along with him...just to keep our economy down so JK will "look good" as an "alternative" to the evil, greedy Bush? :grrr:

Even Niccolo Machiavelli wouldn't have gone THAT far...maybe Cesare Borgia (NO friend of Machiavelli's BTW; he had the man imprisoned while serving as a diplomat for the Medici).

I know, I know...always the teacher...

Plus it's interesting that he was such a radical protestor back in the old days...and now he wants to run for Pres? Forget Defense; give everyone a daisy! Powell does not need to run - he is set for life and has been in the driver's seat for quite some time, a good guy. He probably knows how nasty the backbiting is at the very top and does not need the agaggravationAlso the public is fickle and there is no such thing as a perfect candidate. Some group will always dig up dirt on the candidate they don't like.

Hmm... As much as I can't stand Kerry, this sounds a little shaky. I'd like some more information. I'm going to do some surfing and if I find anything, I'll post again.

OK. I did a quick search and this is a legitamite story. If this accusation is accurate, this should blow up into a huge scandal. I hope it is true. I don't like Kerry one bit. Bush could be better, but he's way better than Kerry

Here's some background info on the issue of the steel tariffs. It's a little anti Bush, but there's some good information:

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune ... 66780.html

Here's another one that lends credence to the claims:

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/storydisplay. ... tion=world

Here's an excerpt:

The reprisals, which will inflict a US$600 million tariff rise on selected American imports, have been slyly crafted to cause the maximum pain to the man in the White House.

The hitlist ranges from citrus fruit, sportswear, T-shirts and tights to ballpoint pens and bowling alley equipment, much of it manufactured in states such as Florida and the Midwest, where voter support for Bush, who faces re-election next year, is borderline

President George W. Bush imposed the steel tariffs in January last year.

* They were introduced as a "temporary" measure to protect companies in the "rust belt" of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio from foreign competition. Those states are crucial to his re-election chances.

* The policy outraged the European Union, whose steel industry has undergone a painful restructuring in the past 20 years. Also hurt were many American manufacturers, who had to pay higher prices for this essential raw material

If Kerry gets connected with this, he's toast!
