Ten things you will see on the boards (or in general)...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Ten things you will see on the boards (or in general)...

#1 Postby WidreMann » Sat Mar 27, 2004 9:50 pm

...during this tropical season, regardless of what happens weatherwise:

1) Joe Bastardi will claim that a TS actually made landfall as a hurricane, or a cat 1 made landfall as a cat 2, etc.
2) Something supposedly very unusual/record setting will happen ("This is the first TS to form in the area between 52 and 53 west and 20 and 22 north between the hours of 5 PM and 7 PM on August 23rd! Just goes to show you how weird this season has been...")
3) The blobs, oh the blobs, you know how that's going to be
4) The LBAR will be somebody's model of choice
5) Somebody will complain that a recon was not sent out when it should have been or vice versa (and that somebody will most likely be Joe Bastardi)
6) Just like in the winter, the models will always have poor initialization (thus explaining why they don't show all canes going to Florida, which is the Philly of hurricane season)
7) Nobody will predict less than 14 TS's, 7 hurricanes and 4 major hurricanes, except, of course, for MGC (if she's still around).
8) Derecho will get in most of his posts of the year, but only one or two will actually not be attacks.
9) Somebody will interpret a random hole in the clouds as an eye or "eye-like structure".
10) Joe Bastardi will complain about the NHC in some way not already mentioned above.

Feel free to add more.

11) Every single thing that happens in the North Atlantic Tropical season, whether it's unusual or not, will be blamed on the Brazilcane.

PS: Most of my posts aren't attacks, you idiot!

Sad to say, you're probably right on the mark there.

13. GreatOne will come back with another alias and he will forecast every visible, even miniscule, cloud over the North Atlantic to be injected with steroids and become a Category 5 Hurricane.

14. GreatOne will make a lot of typos in his "official" forecasts.

Not knocking you GreatOne, because I really hope your posting quality improves this year.

Great list too guys!

Too funny, and on the money as far as I'm concerned. Thats why I quit going to all the boards, and stick to one. This year, I will be sticking to one, guess what it is!!
Now with numbers, you will have to wait till April 1, to read mine. Then, the Barometer Bob Show will air that night!
Looks to be an interesting show!!

19. Someone will say, "Oh that's going to TX" when it's really going to be the only storm of the year to hit FL.
