Breaking News -- We're losing a star
I was chatting earlier with a Yahoo trivia group buddy of mine who lives in works in Fargo. He said representatives from both Bismarck and Pierre are negotiating a merger of the state governments. So if North Dakota and South Dakota become one state (Dakota?), we'll have to drop a star from the flag because then there will only be 49.
And what's today's date???

LOL...
I knew of a man who REFUSED to believe that there WAS a "North Dakota"; he was even given round-trip airfare to Fargo, met some of the locals, and STILL didn't believe it.
I was there when he arrived, back in 1986...seems his entire life, people told "North Dakota" jokes so often, he decided that the state MUST be a fantasy, and stuck to that misconception.
