We are getting closer=Less than 2 months !!!
Wow how time has gone by and here we are already in april now 8 weeks away from the start of another hurricane season. What will this season bring is the question and time will tell how the season will play out.It will be very interesting to follow how ENSO is doing in the next few months to see IF an el nino can develop in a weak stage or it will mantain neutral thru the whole season.Even a weak el nino as others haved said will not be a big factor but IF it develops more strong then it will cap for the most part the season.Another thing to watch will be the QBO winds how they switch from one direction to another and at what time of the season that happens. Regardless on how the season will pan out we must be prepared for the worst and hope for the best because it only takes one storm or cane to do all the damage in one season even if it is below normal like in 1992 with Cat 5 Andrew.

At that risk of offending some people I will be honest & say that I love canes & I look forward to 1 coming way.CAT 1 or 2 would be my preference, strong, will do some damage, the power will go out for a few days, but I'll live & the trees will grow back eventually.
Once you get into CAT 3,4 & 5 things can get extremely dangerous & life threatening & I would rather not get caught up in that but thats not up to me to decide. If you live in a hurricane prone area you just got to be prepared for the worst because like Forrest Gump said "You never know what you're gonna get".You might go years without getting hit & then 1 day an Andrew,Hugo or Camille might slam you...Lets see what this season has in store for all of us that live where the hurricanes roam.
